I played this and it was great fun! I kept running out of fuel and had to run around a bit until a tank of it spawned. Keep up the great work! :]
Thanks again! I appreciate the supportive messages and am glad you had fun with the game.
This was a lot of fun to play! Running around and watching the bugs burn is a fun concept. This game has a nice gameplay loop that has a lot of potential.
Here are just a few recommendations for the game:
* I think the fuel system for the flamethrower is pretty interesting. but maybe it should be changed to a overheat mechanic. It's fun running around dodging bugs to collect fuel but once your out of fuel and there no more fuel on the map to collect your just sort of dead, until one randomly spawns. I think with an overheat mechanic you'll be able to burn bugs indefinably but also have to watch out from overheating the flamethrower so it doesn't get too hot. This means you have to have good position still so that you don't get yourself in a situation where your flamethrower has to overheat.
* I noticed the power ups that would spawn once and a while which are a great concept. I would maybe make them spawn more frequently the longer you survive. Also permeant upgrades would be neat! Like more dmg, speed, or more special effects like a fire DOT.
Again I had a lot of fun, even though I was only able to survive for 2 minutes at a time lol. Props to you for making this awesome game. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I'm glad you had fun with the game, and I appreciate the feedback.
Hey nice game! I survived only for 4 minutes, lol.
I loved the web trails the spider leaves, and I'll probably incorporate them in my game as well 😊. I have a similar game, and I'd love your opinion there https://beorgames.itch.io/hero-battle-fantasy-arena.
I also think that there are some stuff that could be improved:
The character seems to slide a bit. I'd change the movement, maybe speed up the animation as the character speeds up?
I also don't think an expandable tank brings much to the game. If you spend all your gas, you're dead, because there are no other ways to kill the enemies.
It would be helpful to have a timer showing how long the buffs last.
Also, the shield is overpowered. It's like instant full health + full gas because you can just stay there and get hit without anything happening.
Thanks for playing and providing feedback! Also, great job on 4 minutes, not an easy feat! There is a mechanic in the game that when the pests grow more ferocious (every 30 seconds) a fuel pick-up is also spawned somewhere on the map. So, if you run out of fuel and can survive long enough you will have a way to refuel. I agree the player movement needs a little tuning up. I'll also look into your other recommendations.
Wow, thanks for making a gameplay video! Glad you enjoyed it!
The game plays really well. Love the 3d models as well. Managed to get 2:42 on hard difficulty.
Nice job on the time!
Nice job man! Exellent work!! Its a quick simple and well coded game! I like it.
Hey! Thanks man! But, can you survive for over 5 minutes on the hard difficulty!?
Good game. I liked it
Awesome, thank you!
Pretty fun, I came here from your r/blender post. I enjoyed it, I wish I could model assets to that quality haha
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
